Airport Wreck

Imagine flying into Mactan-Cebu International Airport and finding out that you can go scuba diving at an airplane wreck.

Flying. Airplane. Wreck. These are three words you don’t normally want to read in one sentence.

The full story is that a small airplane was intentionally sunk off the coast of Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines to become an artificial reef. But, hosting the second-busiest airport in the entire country, hearing or reading “airplane wreck” is attention-getting!

I have not had the opportunity to dive at Tambuli yet, hence the unoriginal image, but I hope to soon. And, I definitely hope to have a GoPro with me.
